Search Committee Update

At the Dec. 10 Congregational meeting after church, a motion was passed to approve the search committee's recommendation to extend an appointment to Lauri Ladd to be a student diaconal minister at Kilworth United Church. We also now have confirmation that the Antler River Watershed Regional Council has approved the negotiated terms for Lauri. Lauri's first Sunday with us will be on Jan. 7

Vision and Mission Statements

Mission Statement:
Rooted in our relationship with God and one another, we strive to live our Christian values:  welcoming all, nurturing spiritual growth, and responding with compassion to the needs of our community and beyond.

New Vision Statement:
We ask for God’s spirit to guide us as we learn to expand our hearts through the following:
  • We seek to be a safe, nurturing, and accessible community where everyone can worship.
  • We celebrate the richness that diversity brings to our church.
  • We promise to care for each other with compassion and trust as we accept and respect our differences.
  • We strive to provide opportunities for spiritual growth at all stages of our faith journey as we worship, learn, and grow together.
  • We recognize our impact on the earth and aim to be environmentally responsible.
  • We commit to equity, justice, and peace for all within our church family and the greater community.
