Services Protocol
The following guidelines will keep us in compliance with general public health regulations at this time and keep our members and adherents as safe as possible.
These include:
- Masks: are required inside the building. Masks are not required, outside the building.
- Social distancing: is required inside the building. If the weather is agreeable we will have a social time outside the building. During this time outside socially, distancing is encouraged.
- The sanctuary has been clearly marked with, every other pew has been labelled as off limits, to ensure a safe distance during worship. Please sit with your family group and remain 6 feet from any other group. This may mean that your usual pew may not be available.
Traffic flow: one way only: . Hand sanitizer will be provided at the entrance and the exit. Please use the sanitizer when entering and exiting the church. Enter through the front doors and exit through the kitchen door following the service. The direction in each aisle is marked. Please follow the arrows. Please leave a couple of parking spots close to the front door for those who are less able to walk a distance from their car to the front door. Those who need the use of the ramp at the back are welcome to still use it to enter.
Offering: The collection plates will be placed at the entrance and the exits. Please feel free to leave your offering in one of these plates. There will not be a collection plate passed during the service.
Washrooms are open. Please sanitize before entering and after leaving the washrooms.
Coffee Hour: we will not be preparing a communal coffee hour but everyone is encouraged to socialize outside following the service.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School will resume in April.
TAPING OF SERVICES
Services will be taped and shared with the congregation through email by Sunday evening at the latest. Please be patient as this will be a different setup than our previous virtual services and it may take a few weeks to work out the bugs.
These are only guidelines put in place to help everyone feel as safe as possible as we venture out into this very different world. Safety and physical and mental health are our priorities and whatever you decide to do, we understand your decision and will do our best to be a supportive worship community.
